Healing Through Policy: Creating Pathways to Racial Justice is an initiative supporting city, county, and state governments and communities in moving from commitment to action for health, racial equity, and justice. Using the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation™ framework. Healing Through Policy offers local leaders a suite of policies and practices that are being implemented across the country to effect meaningful change. Healing Through Policy is an initiative of the American Public Health Association, the de Beaumont Foundation, and the National Collaborative for Health Equity, in collaboration with Results for America. MAI is currently serving as the de Beaumont Foundation’s (dBF) evaluation partner to tell the story of the Healing Through Policy (HTP) initiative. MAI’s mixed methods evaluation involves interviews with program partners, post-session surveys with jurisdiction team members, and interviews with jurisdiction team members, and case studies in a small number of jurisdictions. The findings will be/have been used to inform programmatic decisions in real-time and future iterations of the initiative.
